PROGRAMS by McMEANS PTA:
NO PLACE FOR HATE (During Advisory, Once per Month)
PTA coordinates this club for students of all grade levels who participate in projects throughout the year.
The No Place for Hate® initiative provides educators and students with the resources to ensure that anti-bias and diversity education are an integral part of the school curriculum. No Place for Hate® also helps to create and sustain inclusive school environments where all students feel valued and have the opportunity to succeed by promoting respect for individual difference while challenging bigotry and prejudice. REFLECTIONS- 2020-21 PTA Reflections Art Contest theme is... "I Matter Because"
All entries are due to the McMeans Library
For questions, please contact MMJH Reflections Coordinator: Aqsa Saif at firstname.lastname@example.org
Started in 1969 by the Colorado PTA President Mary Lou Anderson, Reflections has encouraged millions of students to express themselves by giving positive recognition for their artistic efforts. Students are invited to create and submit original works of art in six categories: dance choreography, film production, literature, musical composition, photography, and visual arts. All qualifying entries will be judged and are eligible to advance to local, state and national levels.
Reflections is open to all McMeans students. PTA membership is necessary for any Local entry to proceed onto State judging, and is highly encouraged. Forms are available at the front office and the Library. Additional information regarding specific requirements and extra forms can be found at: https://www.txpta.org/reflections-participation
